EL MATADOR STATE BEACH
For those of you looking to have their engagement photography along the coast of Los Angeles County, you have got to check out El Matador State Beach, by far it is the prettiest beach in the county, if not the southland. El Matador State Beach is the most popular of three beaches within Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach. An El Matador Beach Engagement Photo Session in Malibu by Three16 Photography adds the spirit of the Southern California coastline to your photographs.
El Matador is a popular beach for wedding proposals as its beauty truly shines through. Probably the best time of the day for your engagement session would be closer to sunset as the sunset is simply stunning and the way it gleams off the ocean waters will really produce some amazing backgrounds to your photos.
This beach location has a lot of really awesome rock formations along the shore that will add a lot of character and interest within your photos. And El Matador has a really cool cliff that ends right on the beach, which will add personality to your photos. In addition, this beach also a small cave-like area under the cliff and a long staircase that we can use to our advantage.
However, a couple of things to be aware of with El Matador State Beach is you need to pay attention to the tide reports. Because if they are reporting high tides, then it is near impossible to access the beach. Also, this location can get extremely busy, especially with many photographers shooting photography on certain days of the week. We will do our best to avoid having others in the background of your photos, but if it is a heavier day of beachgoers, we might not be able to guarantee it.
Also, El Matador does not allow pets on their property and they charge for parking. Confirm their rules for permits as some locations enforce permit laws more than others. Lastly, due to the distance from the Three16 Photography Studios to Malibu, we do require a travel fee.
This beach is truly one of the better beaches along California’s coast and is an absolute great location to have your El Matador State Beach engagement photo session take place at.
