The Spectrum is one of Southern California’s most popular entertainment and shopping destinations. The Irvine Spectrum Center, known for its shopping, dining and entertainment, makes for a great place for your engagement session. First of all, just having all the modern-day architecture of this outdoor mall makes for great backgrounds in your photos. If your personality as a couple is one of fun, then you will enjoy the Giant Wheel and Carousel, which they offer all year long. Of course, the attractions are closed during inclement weather for safety purposes.

The Giant Wheel is a very popular attraction at the Spectrum. It is 108 feet high and was crafted in Italy. The Giant Wheel makes for great photographs. Photos can be taken from the ground or on the ride itself, but in either case we will have some great angles to shoot from.

The Carousel was crafted in San Francisco and it has 32 animals on the ride, which is getting a stylish new makeover during the $200 million expansion of the Spectrum. The Carousel will bring some really awesome characteristics to your shots.

During the holidays, the Irvine Spectrum Center goes all out. Beginning the day after Thanksgiving and running through Christmas Eve, the Spectrum offers a nightly tree lighting service, which can make for some pretty romantic photos.

But the most fun during the holidays that the Spectrum offers runs from the beginning of November until after New Year’s is an Ice Skating Rink. If we are going to include the ice rink in your photos, we will have to be sure to check their schedule for availability.

The biggest drawback about shooting your session at the Spectrum is all the crowds. Unless we do a weekday morning, you are sure to have people walking in the background of your photos.
