Once a rundown part of a community, the area on Anaheim Blvd between Broadway and Santa Ana Street, got a major face lift if you will and the community has become one of the hippest places to be. The Anaheim Packing House is just one aspect of the Anaheim Packing District but is the most vital part of the downtown Anaheim area. Inside the Anaheim Packing House is a combination of a bar in the middle, live musicians, plant life everywhere and a whole host of various food outlets. It’s just a great place to go and enjoy spending time with each other. The look of the outside building continues to have that same look and feel to it that it had over 100 years ago when it was a working packing house that saw product come and go on the nearby train. With all its uniqueness in architecture and nuances, the Anaheim Packing House makes for great engagement photography.

The biggest drawback about this location is that taking your engagement photos inside is forbidden. All photography must be taken outside of the Packing House.

However, even though the photos are all from the outside, there are still plenty of great backdrop opportunities for your photo session.
Just outside the Packing House is a grassy area with seating and trees, a couple of large statues of roosters at one of the entrances, some areas of the outside have that very rustic look, as well as wonderful outdoor lighting if we run into the evening time. Because this use to be a working warehouse along with the railroad, there is an older model train car next to the building, which always makes for a unique photo opportunity.

If time permits to include an additional location, on the property itself are other areas of the Anaheim Packing District that we can include. Also, about a block away is the area where the Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center is located. Continue walking and there is a really nice area with a variety of shops that make for nice backdrops to your photos as well.
