Combining beautiful urban architecture and natural beauty in the heart of Los Angeles County is the Brand Library & Art Center, as it combines the library itself with a park and Japanese Friendship Gardens. Three16 Photography will capture your intimate Brand Library Engagement Photos located in Glendale, CA.
Maybe our favorite part about this location is the stairway going up to the library. Its architecture is really unique and highlights the photos with great character. This location really photographs well; especially around sunset.
One section of the park is your typical green grass park with a playground for kids, a sports fields for baseball and soccer, and a beautiful water fountain area like no other. The other part of the park is more than just your standard American park as it is simply stunning and a great place for your engagement photo session as the park is transformed into a Japanese garden area with so many different features.
Sitting on top of a koi pond is an amazing “Shoseian”, which is a Japanese Tea House. There are Shoseian Pine plants and a small bridge that goes over the pond.
Something you need to be aware of is that on the weekends, this location gets very crowded as you will often find a lot of family activities and Brand Library Park weddings taking place here. So, to avoid the crowds, we recommend shooting your engagement photo session on the weekdays starting just before sunset so that you get the best of both worlds when it comes to natural and non-natural lighting. Besides, when the facility has too many people, we cannot guarantee your photos will not contain people walking in the background.
