Your outfit should reflect you personality.  Maybe you want to dress for an adventure or maybe you want to go formal.  Consider how your attire can fit with your session location.

Some locations can be super crowded.  While a session at the beach, a popular park or Disneyland can be great, it may not be ideal for you.

Do you love nature?  Did you go to a fair on your first date?  While a beautiful garden might be fun for some, maybe it isn't the perfect location for you.

WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION LOCATION:

discovering orange county engagement locations:

CANYON PARK

When thinking about the city of Costa Mesa, what comes to mind the most is areas such as the Orange County Fairgrounds, South Coast Plaza and the areas down Bristol Street, as well as the Triangle Square area where Newport Blvd and Harbor Blvd’s come together. But a little further west, just before the Santa Ana River and the city of Huntington Beach, there is a large area that consists of a few neighborhood parks and regional parks that are full of pure nature. One of those parks in particular combines both the nature and the playground aspects that is perfect for a photo shoot. Canyon Park Engagement Photography in Costa Mesa by Three16 Photography will provide you beautiful moments to be cherished for a lifetime.

Canyon Park, which was purchased by the city of Costa Mesa back in 1975, opened it to the public in 1992 and sits on nearly one and half acres of land. Although limited in features compared to other parks, this naturesque location offers truly wonderful backdrops to all your photos, such as a dirt walking and bike trail, trees, cactus, a rock basin that once had a stream of water run through it, a small pond, and in the spring, the most beautiful field of yellow daisies I have ever seen. For those who have young kids and want to incorporate them into a few photos, they also have a playground area. Or let’s be real, the playground is also great for you both as well.

If time permits and we can get a second location into your engagement photo session, Talbert Regional Park and Fairview Park are practically next door to Canyon Park. If you want to go a little further, Huntington Beach is to the west and the city aspects of Costa Mesa is to the east.

Some locations are subject to permit and/or travel fees.
