For any couple that is looking for an urban-style location to have their engagement photography shot at, then you might want to consider the Claremont Train Station. The train depot has been around since 1927 and as stood the test of time. With its unique quirks, a Claremont Train Station engagement photo session by Three16 Photography will add a touch of a vintage era gone by.
Located in the quiet neighborhood of Claremont, this location is our favorite of all train stations to shoot photos at. It is a typical little train station with a lot of great features on the train deck, but especially in front of the station with its teal front doors and Spanish Colonial Revival-style architecture.
Another cool feature of the train station is this pretty nice-looking clock. It has an antique look to it that reminds you of the clocks around town back in the old movies. Definitely a great feature to incorporate into your photos.
Photography is not allowed inside of the station, but outside, including the deck is allowed. And of course, it is against federal law to stand on the tracks themselves, but they can appear in the background of your photos.
Something to keep in mind is that the Claremont Train Station is a working station and is fully operational, so you should expect many people coming and going, which could lead to having them in some of the backgrounds of your photos, not to mention on-lookers.
Claremont is also home to the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology, as well as the Padua Hills Theatre, amongst many other things to see or do while we're there.
So, if you are looking for something really different, unique and with a vintage feel to it, you might want to consider a Claremont Train Station engagement photo session.
