Nestled into the city of Cerritos, not far from the Cerritos Towne Center, is one of the highest rated parks in all of Cerritos, Heritage Park. This is really an awesome park for your engagement photo session, as this nearly 15-acre park is made up of your typical park like features such as sports fields, playgrounds, trees, green grass and plenty of ducks, birds and turtles. However, the majority of the park is made up of an island! A Heritage Park Engagement Photography session in Cerritos by Three16 Photography will make for beautiful photos that will last a lifetime.

Like the name states, Heritage is a community park that honors the beginning of America with the history of the Revolutionary American era, as well as the founding of the United States of America. All these historical features can be found on the island itself. The island can add a fun and unique aspect to your engagement photos. For starters, there is a moat around the island, so to get across the moat there are a couple interesting looking bridges to cross. There is a near-replica of the Old North Church with a couple of playful slides, as well as a state house, stairs and sliding poles. The island closes at dusk.

There is also plenty of areas off the island for your Heritage Park engagement photos as well, as there are several secret spots throughout the park for us to use.

Prior to scheduling a date and time, be sure to check Heritage Park’s website for availability as they have some odd hours during the week. In addition, keep in mind that the park is across the street from the high school, so having your session as school lets out is not recommended, otherwise we run the risk of many students in the background of your photos.
