Named after Tiburcio Vasquez, one of the state’s most notorious bandits back in 1874, this park is located in the northern part of Los Angeles County between Palmdale and Santa Clarita in the Sierra Pelona Mountains. This desert-like mountain area sits on 932 acres of land and is considered by many naturalists as a desert paradise. Vasquez Rocks is most known for their incredible hiking trail and their Famous Rocks, along with their formations, as several of them stand out due their angles which point 45 degrees towards the sky.

Vasquez Rocks is a beautiful location that is filled with amazing natural backdrops for your engagement photos to standout. It is primarily dirt and rocks, so the only greenery we’ll see is the occasional dessert-like bushes. Other than that, this location is truly at its best when we incorporate the unique rock formations.
