Thoughtful, compassionate, and dedicated are just a sampling of this amazing relationship between Amie and Clint. Sweethearts since high school, these two now find themselves set to walk down the aisle together as husband and wife. So you can only imagine the thrill I got while shooting their Carbon Canyon Regional Park Engagement in Orange County.
This park brings a sense of an old rural area right at the northern end of Orange County, which is often known for being a big city area. I took advantage of the beauty of our natural surroundings with open fields, rock-made dams, and hiking trails, along with their love story to bring them a unique engagement photoshoot. One that I hope they will cherish always.
I wish Amie and Clint nothing but love, dedication, and happiness as they continue to walk together for the rest of their lives.
Amie’s Perspective….
Three16: How did you first meet Clint?
Amie: I first met Clint through mutual friends in high school. He was friends with a guy that I hung out with a lot and his locker was located next to one of my best friends, so we interacted a bit then. Then I added him as a friend on Facebook and we began messaging each other through there, which then lead to text messaging, which then led to “liking” each other, which then led to dating. And the rest is really history. The whole thing was very “high school”, but was still really sweet.
Three16: What is it about Clint that made you fall in love with him?
Amie: There are obviously many reasons that made me fall in love with Clint. One of the main reasons is that he has a heart for the Lord and a desire to live his life in the manner in which He has been called. Another major reason that I fell in love with him is that he’s the most thoughtful, caring and selfless person that I know. He has a great care for the needs of others and serves them wholeheartedly. I have never felt more loved or cared for by another person (except my mother of course haha) than by him.
Three16: What three words would you use to describe Clint?
Amie: Driven, Thoughtful and Dependable!
Clint’s Perspective….
Three16: Tell us about your first date…how did it go? Were you nervous? What did you think of Amie?
Clint: Our first date was dinner with her entire family! Talk about intimidating! Her grandpa was in his garage listening to a country song about “cleaning this gun” in attempt to try and intimidate me and show me that he was going to hurt me first if I ever hurt her. I was super nervous and I just wanted her, as well as her family, to like me. I really admired how close she was with her family.
Three16: As you look toward the future and marrying Amie, what are you most excited about?
Clint: I am really excited about being able to be with my best friend forever and to just be able to live life with her. However, I am most excited to see where the Lord leads and moves us. I cannot wait to grow old with her.
Three16: What three words would you use to describe Amie?
Clint: Compassionate, Confident and Dedicated!
As I shot their Carbon Canyon Regional Park engagement, I couldn’t help but think ‘what a beautiful location for a beautiful couple and a beautiful life’ they have in front of them.
