One of our favorite parts about being Family/Wedding Photographers is when we get a couple that uses our services not only when they start out together with an engagement photo session, but then hires us for to photograph their wedding, and then when the family grows, they reach out to us to continue to capture the history of their growing family. It’s so wonderful to witness new couples go through life together and be able to capture it for them. Of course, after maternity comes newborn, family time and then graduation. It makes our hearts full as this is the case for two people that we have loved getting to know over the years as we recently did a Maternity Photography session at their home.
Kyle & anna’s Home Maternity Photos taken by Three16 Photography will bring timeless photos to cherish throughout the years. We originally shot Kyle and Anna’s engagement session back in 2016 at a bar of all places in the Old Pasadena area. Later that same year, we shot their wedding, which took place at the Padua Theatre up in Claremont. And now to the expectation of their child.
There are many locations you can have your maternity photos taken at, but there is also something special about having them done in your home.
First of all, your own home can be a cozier and can be set up to be a more comfortable set of scenery than a venue can, so to speak. It can also create more memories because it is in your own home and each photo can simply have more meaning to them as we go throughout the home. A sort of significance if you will. Perhaps, it will be in their first bedroom, or around the dining room table, where many moments over the years will take place or near a fireplace in front of the television. These are just to name a couple. And if the shots are taken near a window, then we will have that natural lighting coming in from the outside which light up the area even better.
In any event, a maternity session is a great way to have these early moments captured forever and can also be used in a way to announce to your family and friends that you are having a baby.
We are super excited for Anna and Kyle. New homeowners and now, they will make amazing parents.
