Getting the opportunity to photograph engagement photo sessions up in the mountains is one of our favorite on-site “getaways.” The peacefulness, the fresh air and the complete ambiance of the area. What we truly like is how everything turns out with our couples posing. They tend to be even more relaxed than those who stay in Los Angeles or Orange County. But for us, Lake Arrowhead is about as good as it comes. Beautiful Lake Arrowhead engagement photos taken by the team at Three16 Photography will provide you with cherished memories.
Lake Arrowhead Village has a wide array of shops, both on the waterfront and inland, restaurants and a good mix of things to do that we can use during our session. The boat docks at the lake with the clouds and mountains in the background make for amazing backdrops to your photos. Often breathtaking.
If we want to really get out there, we can take a hike or bike on one of the trails that lead us into the mountains. Lake Arrowhead also have a some very rustic areas such as up at Pine Rose Cabins. Or we can go completely opposite and rent a boat and/or incorporate various water games, depending on your personalities.
If time permits, we can head southeast about 3 miles to Santa’s Village. There’s a cost involved here, but the backgrounds are pretty unique. Continuing east for another mile and we will find Heaps Peak Arboretum which will offer us a whole new aspect of nature and beauty.
Although Lake Arrowhead is the closest mountain area without driving too much further, it is still a bit of a drive at approximately an hour-and-a-half to two hours from Orange County. So, if you can plan a day date and don’t mind the drive, you simply cannot go wrong with Lake Arrowhead for your engagement session.
One item to note with Lake Arrowhead, there is a small travel fee added to your package, but the fun you will have will be worth it.
