One of the things I love about meeting newly engaged couples is learning their stories and why they pick certain things out. Perhaps there is a reason for the date of their wedding or their colors represent something in their lives, and then sometimes, as I learned on a recent engagement photo shoot here in Orange County, locations mean a lot as well.
For Laura and Daniel’s three area photo shoot, they had plenty of reasons as to the locations we shot at, Santiago Canyon Park, Laguna Beach, and UC Irvine. They chose the park and the beach as they are two of their favorite places to spend time together and for UCI because that is where they both met.
It was pretty evident that Daniel is very quiet, while Laura loves to hold him and put a smile on his face. This beautiful couple is getting married in April 2016 at the Fullerton Arboretum and will have a reception at Muckenthaler House.
Couple’s Perspectives….
Laura’s View:
Tell us how you first meet Daniel and describe your first thoughts upon seeing him. Was he goofy, odd, or simply Prince Charming?
Actually, I met Daniel in our dorm, Aldor at UC Irvine. He was both nerdy and cute, and friends with everyone in the dorm. I really liked how friendly and relaxed he was with everyone.
What is something that you find totally cute about Daniel?
His “real” smile.
What’s the proposal story? How did it all unfold? Were you surprised?
He proposed to me while we were at the LA Zoo in front of the tigers because they’re my favorite. And sorry, no I was not surprised because we picked out the ring together.
Daniel’s View:
Describe Laura in one word. Why did you choose that word?
Goofy. She is always entertaining both me, and herself, with her antics.
Tell us about your first date. Where did you go and what did you do? Were you nervous?
Neither of us remembers our first date! We both just hung out a lot at school.
Was Laura surprised when you proposed? Why did you choose to propose the way you did?
She wasn’t because we both picked the ring out together and she accidentally found it in my dresser the day before. I did it at the Zoo because we both love animals and zoos.
