When considering a location for your engagement photo session along the Orange County coastline, there are plenty of options. From large beaches to fairly secluded ones, they all bring their own certain charm and beauty to the scenery within your photos. But there is one location that we feel is a hidden gem. Little Corona del Mar Beach is the perfect location for us to capture your photos. This is not to be confused with Corona del Mar State Beach, as the “Little” beach is located south at the other end of Ocean Blvd at Poppy Ave. Parking is relegated to street parking, which has its challenges due to the narrowness of the streets. But once you find a spot to park, this location is worth it. Once we arrive, we will be at the top of the cliff with a beautiful ocean blue background and the sands down below us.

With beautiful homes all around us, we’ll take the trek down a walkway towards the beach itself. Most beaches where you have to take a trek going up and down to get to the beach is often stairs, so the flatness of the trail is a little easier to deal with. Once we are down on the beach, we can take advantage of several areas that will bring beauty to the backdrops of your photos. One direction will have the ocean itself behind us, turn another way and we can see Corona del Mar State Beach, turn another way and we have the cliffs with homes overlooking us and yet another turn and we will have a variety of rocky cliffs that can frame your photos, and we can get Arch Rock into the photos as well. Arch Rock is a well-known landmark in the area.

If your session falls on a clear day, we can incorporate Catalina Island in the background. Little Corona del Mar beach is also known for its small tidepools where many of the smaller marine life live. Although there are some restrictions when coming in contact with them, we can incorporate these into your photos as well to bring a distinct uniqueness to your experience.
