Some locations can be super crowded. While a session at the beach, a popular park or Disneyland can be great, it may not be ideal for you.

Do you love nature? Did you go to a fair on your first date? While a beautiful garden might be fun for some, maybe it isn't the perfect location for you.

As seasons shift so does temperature, sunset times, foliage and crowds. Not all locations are a great choice year round.

If you are looking for a unique location to take your engagement photos at, you might want to consider the Los Rios District. The Los Rios District is a quaint little neighborhood that is filled with older buildings, where many were built in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Some of the homes started as cottages before becoming houses and there are still a couple of adobe homes still in existence. Los Rios District Engagement Photos by Three16 Photography will add some truly beautiful neighborhood nature to your San Juan Capistrano engagement photos.
The homes in this district belong to residents and although some are alright with taking photos with their homes in the background, some residents are not. Therefore, we are respectful of all the residents there. The uniqueness of these homes and all the greenery of plants and trees make for amazing backdrops to your photos. And if we go a little later in the day during sunset, the rays of light coming through the trees will really highlight your photos.
Another nice feature in this area is that it is near the San Juan Capistrano train station, so if you like that rustic look, then having the tracks in your photos is something to consider.
One of the things we love about this location is that it is a small walk from Mission San Juan Capistrano. So, if you sign up for a two-hour session, we will generally start at the Mission and then spend the second hour in the District. Also, if you decide on a two-hour session, I recommend bringing 2-3 outfits to give your photos different looks.
And of course, there really are no crowds to get in the background of your photos. So, if you are looking for something unique, having your Los Rios District engagement photos in the beautiful Los Rios District can all be yours.
