Growing up in Orange County, I have found that I have a love-hate relationship with Orange County. Some of you might wonder “how could you hate Orange County?” Well if that’s a serious question, I challenge you to sit on the 91 eastbound freeway at 3pm and you’ll easily understand why. But rather than focus on the things I dislike about Orange County, I just want to jump to my favorite thing about Orange County…. the people! I’ve lived in Orange County my whole life and the only thing that truly stops me from wanting to leave Orange County is all the amazing people I know and one of those amazing people I know is Danielle.
Long before I was a wedding photographer I met Danielle at church. In fact, I think I was still in high school when we met. Over the years I’ve known Danielle I’ve been blessed to see her be one of the kindest, sweetest, and friendliest people I know. Danielle isn’t loud like me, she doesn’t walk into a room with the intention of making people laugh. Rather Danielle is someone that is reserved but open to any stranger that would approach her. If you walked into a room she may not be the first to approach you but she will be the one that you find most welcoming. As I’ve known Danielle over the years, I’ve seen opportunities in her life come and go. She’s taken different paths and some doors were open and some were closed. Nonetheless, she has blossomed into a wonderful young lady. With that said, it makes me so excited to say that today is her wedding day and I get to be a part of her and Matt’s special day!
Though I don’t know Matt nearly as well as I know Danielle, I had the chance to get to know him a little better as I shot their engagement session at the San Juan Capistrano Mission. As I walked around the San Juan Capistrano Mission with them, I was able to see Matt’s caring nature as he tended to Danielle’s needs. He truly was a gentleman to her! Not only were they sweet but I think I saw Danielle show a playful side as her smile glowed from cheek to cheek. It was awesome seeing these two so in love! So today, November 6th, 2015 is a day that truly makes my heart smile. As an Orange County wedding photographer, I get to be a part of a lot of awesome weddings but there’s something special when you’ve known the person so long and you get to be a part of a beautiful new chapter in their life! Congratulations Danielle & Matt, today is your day!
