Some locations can be super crowded. While a session at the beach, a popular park or Disneyland can be great, it may not be ideal for you.

Do you love nature? Did you go to a fair on your first date? While a beautiful garden might be fun for some, maybe it isn't the perfect location for you.

As seasons shift so does temperature, sunset times, foliage and crowds. Not all locations are a great choice year round.

If a park location is your top choice for your engagement photo session and you can’t quite make up your mind between nature park or a standard park that includes athletic fields and playgrounds, why not select a location that has a little of everything? If that strikes a chord with you, then Mile Square Regional Park might be what you are looking for. Engagement photography at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley by Three16 Photography will bring out your best and delight you with beautiful memories.
Mile Square Park is similar to Yorba Regional Park in the Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda part of Orange County, but Mile Square offers so much more. Sitting on 607 acres of land, this park offers the standard kid’s playground, a lake for some boating and fishing, an archery area, athletic fields, three golf courses, and the list goes on.
One of the more unique features of this park is a 15-acre part of land that is tucked away and is full of nature. The Urban Natural Area is so off the radar that if you don’t know about it, you can drive right by and never see it. Located closest to the Euclid and Edinger intersection, the Urban Natural Area is home to an amazing butterfly garden, a natural marsh area often filled with various water birds, walking trails, plenty of cactus and an occasional coyote or two. This part of Mile Square Park does have different days and hours of operation than the rest of the park, but very much worth it, so plan ahead.
If you choose to have your engagement photo session at Mile Square Regional Park, we recommend doing it on weekdays. Although parking is very accessible there, the park just gets too crowded on the weekends. Keep in mind, this park is a family-friendly location, so there will be many people that can interfere in our shots.
So, if you are looking for engagement photography in one of the very best parks for variety in Orange County, then consider Mile Square Regional Park.
