Set in Southern California’s own wine country, Michael & Riley’s Mount Palomar Winery Wedding was picture perfect. Being an Orange County wedding photographer I love when we get the opportunity to photograph weddings at some of the delightful wineries in Temecula and Mount Palomar Winery has definitely been added to our list. The day was filled with warm weather, lovely touches of pastel colors, a stunning bride, a beautiful sun-kissed sunset, and an excited groom hoping his New England Patriots could pull off a win. Though Michael’s Patriots didn’t pull off the win, he still had s smile beaming from ear to ear. After all, Riley was glowing in her beautiful dress!
In meeting Riley and Michael one of the first things we noticed about them was just how happy they were to be around each other regardless of what they were doing. Typically we are usually booked by our clients about six to nine months before their wedding. However, there is always a few couples that don’t fit the normal fold. Michael and Riley booked us less than a month before their wedding after a bad experience with another photographer. When I think about how everything just came together so perfectly, I can’t help but think of their love story as well. When I first met Michael he told me how at one time he was playing professional baseball but things didn’t work out as planned.
Eventually, he found himself working at In n Out. Side note, if you’re not from the west coast and have never had In n Out you are missing out. Besides a delicious burger, one doesn’t expect much else from In n Out. Thankfully that wasn’t the case for Michael. It was while working at In n Out that Riley and Michael first met. Eventually, their friendship would turn into a first date at Krispy Kreme after work (I’m totally getting hungry writing this) and from there the adventure began! If I were to describe Michael & Riley’s relationship in two words I would use playful and loving. When we look back on Michael & Riley’s Mount Palomar Winery Wedding there were so many moments of laughter but equally moments of them pulling each other close and just taking it all in.
