Orange County Wedding Photographer
As you can imagine, being an Orange County wedding photographer in the year 2020 has had its share of challenges, from postponements to reductions of guest lists to complete relocation of venues. But one thing that hasn’t changed are the amazing couples we meet and get to work with. As challenging as it has been for us in the wedding industry, it has been even more challenging for those who are trying to plan a wedding. Fortunately for Kevin and Jenifer, they were able to plan and hold their wedding in this so-called magical year as they came together as one on October 10th at the Newport Dunes Resort. A truly wonderful couple that put together a beautiful wedding at an amazing wedding venue.
Newport Dunes can best be described as an inland water wonderland. In one area, you have private boats that are docked there year-round for those who like to cruise the main harbor and out into the Pacific Ocean. The rest of Newport Dunes offers so many things to do, both on the water and on the sand for both children and adults alike. For Newport Dune weddings, they offer outdoor wedding packages that take place either under a gazebo or on the beach itself. And you really can’t go wrong with either choice. In addition, you can choose from an outdoor or indoor reception area. Newport Dunes staffers are equipped to prepare every aspect of your wedding. It really is an amazing atmosphere and one that made for a beautiful setting for Jenifer and Kevin’s wedding. Fantastic Choice!
Jenifer was escorted down the aisle by her father and she looked gorgeous wearing a white laced gown from David’s Bridal and having her make-up perfectly applied by the talents of Monique Valadez. Her groom, Kevin, waited for her at the altar in a suit from the Men’s Warehouse. After the ceremony, DJ Tyler from DJ Sota Entertainment kept the party hopping all night long, while guests were fed a terrific dinner by the catering team at Newport Dunes. The beautiful wedding cake was prepared by Frosted Edible. Along with the bouquets and boutonnieres, the floral arraignments for both the gazebo and reception area were beautifully decorated by Memo’s Flowers, while the entire event was put together by the wedding coordination efforts of Events by K. Miller.
We would really like to thank Jenifer and Kevin for allowing us to be part of their special day, as all of the details of this chic inland harbor resort wedding were captured by the team at Three16 Photography.
Just a final thought, no love of family story can be complete without mentioning something very special that we were lucky enough to witness. Not only did you feel the love that Jenifer and Kevin had for one another, but for their families as well. Unfortunately, Jenifer’s mom is no longer with us, but Jenifer and Kevin made sure she was very much part of this wedding as any other mother of the bride would be. Very moving and special to say the least.
To learn more about this amazing couple, please check out their love story. We hope you enjoy it, and their photos, as much as we do.

Any advice for other newly engaged couples as they begin to plan their wedding?
Don’t go to bed upset, always make time for each other, the little things actually are big things, and communicate. Also, remember to try and have fun while planning, it’s YOUR special day.
Describe your wedding for us. Is there a particular theme? What flowers did you choose and why? And are there any special traditions or items you have incorporated into the day?
Light-hearted, humorous, and easy going.
The florist chose our flowers because of our flower scheme: Burgundy, Ivory, Pale Blue, & Gold. We have a reserved seat for Jenifer’s mother, Kimberly, who will be celebrating with us in heaven. Also, Jen has a ribbon with their picture on it of her and her mom that says, “walk with me today” that will be tied around her bouquet.
Looking back on planning your wedding, is there anything you would have done differently?
Don’t plan it during a pandemic, lol. I would have remembered to put myself first in more situations (for both of us).
What’s the plans for the honeymoon?
Unfortunately, they are postponed until after travel restrictions are lifted. However, we want to go on a Caribbean cruise.
