The Special Ingredient
One of the gems of Orange County for me has to be Old Towne Orange. Nestled between the 55, 5, and 57 freeways is a small area filled with antique shops, old diners, some of the best Cuban food around, three Starbucks within a mile radius, a fountain that has stood the test of time and surprisingly a relaxed community of friendly faces in the midst of the chaos of southern California. As a photographer, I absolutely love the city of Orange and the area surrounding the circle. There are so many perfect spots to capture the photos our clients love to share and of course, there are plenty of great places to eat afterwards!
Last week I had the honor of meeting up with Mike & Taylor (who will be getting married this fall) to capture their engagement photos. As we walked around, it was great hearing about how both of them have started their own businesses. Taylor has always loved cooking and has recently launched her own catering company. It seems so fitting for her and her creative side. I know when we first met at our studio above Mary Me Bridal, Taylor expressed how important a good venue and great food would be to her on the wedding day. I think Taylor is definitely on the right track as she chose a beautiful new wedding venue in Murrieta which not only has a beautiful backdrop but they also have some friendly alpacas too!
Now Mike was so full of laughter and charm during the engagement session that it doesn’t surprise me at all that he has his own personal training business. As we walked around Orange, I could tell Mike loves to encourage and push Taylor to always pursue big goals. It can be hard starting a catering business in southern California but I have no doubt one of Taylor’s special ingredients is Mike’s love and support. Many great things can be accomplished by yourself, but I think with the way these two laugh together and motivate each other that they are bound to accomplish so much more side by side.
We absolutely loved photographing their engagement session and we hope you enjoy the photos!
