Orcutt Ranch Wedding | Ivan & Jayne
Ever since Ivan and Jayne first met, songs of love have been whistling through the air. It’s stories like this one that makes my career as a Los Angeles Professional Photographer amazing. Doesn’t matter if we are photographing an engagement session, a wedding, or various stages of their family life, each couple we come to meet and work with are truly amazing people. This is especially true for Ivan and Jayne. A wonderful couple that we had the pleasure of photographing at their Orcutt Ranch Wedding.
Located in the West Hills area of Los Angeles County, Orcutt Ranch is a real hidden gem of a wedding venue. Their lush garden area includes pathways, flower beds and a wide array of plants and shrubs, not to mention the various types of trees, such as Purple Lily Magnolias, Dogwoods, Rattan Palms and several others. Include the gazebo, patio, kitchen, as well as a central courtyard and a fountain and this venue is simply perfect for your garden-style wedding. It’s no wonder why Jayne and Ivan chose this wedding venue.
Jayne and Ivan first connected when she joined the worship team at their church, and they sang in a Christmas special together. Ivan confessed to us that he liked Jayne from that very first day, and their love has been blooming ever since.
Jayne and Ivan were officially married three years ago in the courthouse but wanted to plan a big celebration with all of their closest friends and family. Finally, that day came, and these two love birds had the opportunity to renew their vows. Despite already tying the knot years ago, this day was nothing short of emotional. Just wait until you see Ivan’s heartfelt reaction to Jayne walking down the aisle. But first, maybe you should grab some tissues!
Jayne was dressed in a STUNNING Coco Melody flowing lace gown and looked like absolute royalty (no wonder the tears were flowing!). With hair and makeup done, and her blooming bouquet in hand, she was accompanied by her bridesmaids dressed in an array of blues, purple, and pink. Everyone was looking snazzy, including the handsome groom in his gray-blue suit! Oh, and we can’t forget their adorable little dog!
Every part of this vow renewal wedding celebration was so beautiful and so special, and the team at Three16 Photography is so thankful to have been able to capture it!
We would really like to thank Jayne and Ivan for allowing Three16 Photography to be part of your special day. We wish you many years of love and happiness.
Check out their love story. We hope you enjoy it, and their photos, as much as we do.
Jayne and Ivan’s Love Story
How did you both meet and who liked who first?
We first met when I (Jayne) joined the worship team in church. Ivan had already been in the team as a bass/acoustic guitar player and I had just moved to California from the Philippines.
Ivan liked me first. He says he liked me since the first time we sang together for a Christmas special.
Tell us about your first date. Who was more nervous and what did you guys do?
We ate at Republic of Pie in North Hollywood. Ivan thinks he was more nervous. I agree since I had no idea that it was a date. I thought we were just two friends trying out a place we both have been wanting to try.
As he was driving me back to my house he slipped and told me he liked me.
What’s the proposal story and tell us, who cried first?
We had been talking about marriage and our future lives together even as we were still dating. One night he asked and of course I said, “of course.” There was no crying involved.
As you approach the wedding day, what have you both enjoyed most about the wedding planning process?
Honestly, we really enjoyed the engagement photo shoot we had with Alex.
What has been the hardest part about planning your wedding?
Searching for the decorations! And the tiny details we did not even realize had to be planned.
Why did you choose your particular wedding and reception venue?
As I mentioned, we have been married for three years. We had a courthouse wedding and we had planned on having our church wedding at Orcutt on our first year of being married, but due to the circumstances, we’ve had to postpone this event until now. Now we get to just renew our vows to each other and celebrate with our loved ones.
Where did you draw some of your inspiration from for your wedding day?
Our friend Mooch is an amazing stylist and she made suggestions based on what she thinks represents our personalities.
Where are you going for the honeymoon and why did you choose that destination?
Thailand, but not until June of next year. We both love food and Thai food is just one of the best. We can’t wait to get to try the local Thai food! We haven’t had the chance to travel together and this will be our first time flying out of the country.
