Planes of Fame Air Museum Wedding | Jorge & Torey

Southern California Professional Photographer

As Professional Photographers here in Southern California, we truly enjoy meeting all kinds of couples that are in love and are just starting their lives out together. Whether it’s to photograph their engagement session, their wedding, various stages of their family life or any combination of those listed, it has been an honor to work with each couple. But perhaps one of our favorite parts about meeting these couples is hearing their stories. How they met, how they became interested in each other, their first date and of course, the proposal. For Jorge and Torey, this is no exception. A really wonderful couple that we had the pleasure of photographing their Planes of Fame Air Museum Wedding in Chino.

The museum is equipped with large open spaces and includes some of the more beautiful of backdrops, which makes this venue a perfect location to perform your wedding day ceremony and reception. The museum staff will transform the Maloney Hangar into a grand reception hall that is enough to host as many as 320 of your closest friends and family members for a sit-down dinner. Accompanied with its high ceilings and historic airplanes, this venue is real inviting that you and your guests will absolutely love. It is definitely unique.

Being happy is what both Torey and Jorge want in life, so it makes their relationship so much more special because they met at work. At Disneyland. The “Happiest Place on Earth.” It all makes sense now.

For their wedding, Torey wore a beautiful wedding dress from Simply Bridal, while Jorge was sharply dressed thanks to the staff at Friar’s Tux. For the reception, the party continued thanks in large part to Ensemble Events DJs, who provided the music for the evening as the couple and their friends and family danced the night away. The delicious food was catered in by Maddilicious Catering, and with pies, in lieu of a cake, were from Marie Callendar’s… so good! The wedding was a success thanks to the coordination of Susie Perez and the floral arrangements by Memo’s Flowers.

All of the details of this incredible wedding and unique wedding venue were captured on video by Brian Garcia and the photography was done by the team at Three16 Photography.

We would really like to thank Torey and Jorge for allowing Three16 Photography to be part of your special day. We wish you many years of love and happiness.

Check out their love story. We hope you enjoy it, and their photos, as much as we do.

Torey and Jorge’s Love Story

What three things do you admire most about your soon to be spouse and why?

Torey (about Jorge):       I admire Jorge for his determination, charm and positivity. Jorge has worked long and hard to accomplish the goals he sets for himself and has helped me accomplish my goals too. Once he sets his mind to something, he will accomplish it no matter what gets thrown his way. I admire how he can be in a room with anyone and carry on a conversation that makes people feel like he truly cares about them and what they are saying. He has pushed me to be more social and I am learning every day from him. Jorge is a very positive person. He likes to see the glass half full and being around him always makes me smile because he will point out the silver lining even when I have a hard time seeing it.

Jorge (about Torey): It’s definitely hard to pick three things I adore/admire most about Torey. However, if I had to pick, I admire Torey’s great sense of humor, intelligence and her passion to keep growing! As we grow closer every day, I feel so proud when I look at Torey’s accomplishments. Her intelligence coupled with her sense of humor and passion is something to hear. I often find myself listening to Torey after a long day, sometimes a tough day, and it just so happens that she can brighten my day with her humor, teaches me something new and I realize how fortunate her students are for having a person so great as Torey.

Describe each other in one word, and tell us why did you choose that word?

Torey (about Jorge):Loveable. From the first blind date I felt like I was home. Even with as mad as he makes me sometimes, he knows exactly how to remind me of why I fell in love with him in the first place and I get all warm and fuzzy inside. As soon as he starts talking to others, they enjoy being around him and when we are around them again, now they love him too. He is the romantic one out of the two of us and can be a big teddy bear. He makes my bad days good and I just love being around him.

Jorge (about Torey): Princess. Torey is definitely a princess. When I’m with her I know the fairy tale ending is close and feel as though I discovered true love for the first time. That sweetness of love or mystical spell which I’m bound to her, I had never felt before. My princess Torey brings adventure, meaning and a sense of belonging into my once boring life. However, unlike a traditional princess, you, Torey, are the hero in our tale. Torey is what binds us together, and together we will keep our fairy tale going.

Any advice for other newly engaged couples as they begin to plan their wedding?

Listen to each other.

Describe your wedding for us. Is there a particular theme? What kind of flowers did you choose? And are there any special traditions or items you have incorporated into the wedding day?

Happy and romantic. Citrus colors because Torey’s favorite color is orange. We are in an airplane museum and there is a dinosaur on our cake…we’re fun people.

Everything about our wedding has a story behind it. The bride’s reception shoes are a recognition of her grandma. The twin boys are Torey’s twins’ sons. The flower girl has an orange bow because Torey used to wear a bow in her hair every day from fifth grade through high school graduation. The mariachi band is because Jorge’s family is from Mexico and Torey’s grandma loved them. The beersteinsare because the couple enjoys going to new breweries together and Torey spent time in Germany and that was impactful. The bride and groom love dinosaurs so the cake topper is a couple riding a dinosaur. The money dance purse is Mickey Mouse’s ears because the couple met working at Disney together.

Looking back on planning your wedding, is there anything you would have done differently?

We would’ve written the “to-do” list sooner and ACTUALLY attempted to diet.

What’s the plans for the honeymoon?

We are leaving the day after the wedding to spend two weeks in Japan where we will see sumo wrestling, traditional temples and go on an adventure in a new place that we don’t speak the language.
