Queen Mary Wedding Photography in Long Beach | Classic Royal Ship Wedding in Southern California | David & Jacqueline
With the rising number of dating websites and apps, nowadays it’s not uncommon for people to meet online. That’s exactly how Jacqueline and David’s love story began! After chatting for a few weeks online, Jacqueline asked David out! David said yes and they met in Old Towne Orange at a French restaurant for dinner! After their lovely dinner, they walked around town for hours and stayed up until 2 am talking despite both of them having work in the morning. It was evident there were sparks flying!
Their relationship continued to bloom, and before long was the proposal! From the bride: “I cried as soon as I realized what was happening! David proposed while we were out to dinner at Club 33 inside Disneyland. He had the ring brought out on a pillow on a plate with “Will you marry me?” written in chocolate. It was a magical and wonderful night!”
They were both so excited to be getting married and could hardly wait! Jacqueline loved planning all the little details of their wedding day! Her and David both loved the unique design and character of The Queen Mary in Long Beach. It was the perfect destination for their classic royal wedding.
The gorgeous bride was dressed in a classic chiffon gown from David’s Bridal and completed her look with a simple pearl necklace, an elegant half-up curled ‘do from Manely Molly, and a romantic deep red and white bouquet from Cristina’s Flowers. Her groom was dressed in a black tuxedo from Friar Tux, with all black details and black and white oxfords- continuing the classic theme. The whole bridal party was fashioned in all black with red and gold accents. This bridal party looked like they were straight out of a James Bond movie!
The indoor ceremony was set in the ship’s intimate Royal Wedding Chapel. The pews were adorned with elegant draping white fabric, and the altar was framed with more blooming white and red flowers. The reception inside the King’s View Room and Royal Salon was the perfect setting for this classy celebration! Phat Cat Swingers band played live music along with the solo pianist Jamie Shaheen, Rossmoor Bakery crafted a decadent white and gold-accented three-tiered cake, and the Queen Mary’s amazing catering staff provided a mouth-watering meal!
All of the dreamy details of this historic Queen Mary wedding were captured by the photo and video team at Three16 Photography for lasting memories for years to come!
David and Jacqueline, we wish you the best! Thank you for letting us capture your beautiful wedding at the Queen Mary!

We met online and chatted for a few weeks before Jacqueline asked David out.
2) Tell us about your first date. Who was more nervous? What did you guys do?
We met in Old Towne Orange at a French Restaurant for dinner. Neither of us were really nervous since we had been chatting for a while. After dinner, we walked around town talking for hours and stayed up until 2am just talking even though we both had work in the morning.
3) What’s the proposal story? Give us all the details! Who cried first?
Jacqueline cried as soon as she realized what was happening. David proposed at Club 33 inside Disneyland after dinner just before dessert. He had the ring brought out on a pillow on a plate with “Will you marry me?” written in chocolate. It was a magical and wonderful night.
4) What was your favorite part about the wedding planning process?
David – Working together to find what we both love the most about each other and collaborating about our big day.
Jacqueline – I loved how excited and involved everyone was, and also loved putting all the little details together. I love planning.
5) Why did you chose your particular wedding venue?
We both like the design and the character that we couldn’t find at any other location.
6) Where did you draw some of your inspiration from for your wedding day?
We both just have the same taste and wanted to have a classy wedding that combines the best of what we both love.

Sandals Resort in Montessori Bay Jamaica. It’s the original Sandals resort and actually where Jacqueline’s parents went for their honeymoon almost 33 years ago.
