Your outfit should reflect you personality. Maybe you want to dress for an adventure or maybe you want to go formal. Consider how your attire can fit with your session location.

Some locations can be super crowded. While a session at the beach, a popular park or Disneyland can be great, it may not be ideal for you.

Do you love nature? Did you go to a fair on your first date? While a beautiful garden might be fun for some, maybe it isn't the perfect location for you.

As seasons shift so does temperature, sunset times, foliage and crowds. Not all locations are a great choice year round.

With all the great piers that Orange County beaches have, there is one that often gets overlooked. Is it because it’s overshadowed by the Huntington Beach Pier? Perhaps. Or do people forget that the city of Seal Beach is in Orange County and not part of Los Angeles County? Who knows? But if you are looking for a pier without a lot of the people traffic that you would get in Huntington, then check out the Seal Beach Pier. Engagement Photos at the Seal Beach Pier by Three16 Photography is a wise choice for top photographic services in Orange County.
The beach itself runs a mile and a half long, with the pier being located in the middle between 1st Street and Seal Beach Blvd on Ocean Avenue at Main Street. There are many little shops and eateries nearby that we can incorporate into your session as well.
As for the pier itself, built back the early 1900’s, it is the second longest wooden pier in the whole state. So not only do you have the wood stilts underneath, which makes for a much more unique look than cement, it also has a wooden boardwalk on top. Again, the wooden boardwalk brings more personality than the cement sidewalks found at other piers. Photos taken during sunset at the Seal Beach Pier are nothing less than amazing.
If time permits, we can include an additional location that is nearby. There is the Alamitos Bay Marina with the docks and boats will serve as your backdrops. There is also Naples Island, Huntington Harbour, the Queen Mary/Aquarium of the Pacific area along the coast or we can go south all the way to Huntington Beach.
