Some locations can be super crowded. While a session at the beach, a popular park or Disneyland can be great, it may not be ideal for you.

Do you love nature? Did you go to a fair on your first date? While a beautiful garden might be fun for some, maybe it isn't the perfect location for you.

As seasons shift so does temperature, sunset times, foliage and crowds. Not all locations are a great choice year round.

Huntington Beach Pier Engagement Photos by Three16 Photography will add some truly great coastline scenery to your engagement photos as this location captures the spirit of Surf City USA, located in Huntington Beach.
One of the quaintest parts of shooting your photos at the pier are all the little shops and restaurants around that can enhance your session. You have your typical shots on the pier itself, as well as on the sandy beach, but you can also get a bite to eat and have fun with it while we shoot your photos. Next to the beginning of the pier is Duke’s Huntington Beach, as well as Sandy's Beach Shack. Across the street from the pier, you will find Perqs along with great locations for food and drink.
We also have the opportunity to shoot more photos at Pacific City, which is an outdoor mall setting; rent bikes and we can shoot shots of you riding along the beach walk; down a little way is the Huntington Beach Wetlands or we can hit up the bridge that crosses over PCH from the Hyatt Regency Hotel to the beach itself.
Some of the disadvantages you need to consider is there are no rock formations, which always makes for great pictures. If you are not in the need of rocks, then this pier is ideal. Depending on the style of shots you like, the pier is made of cement whereas Newport Beach’s pier is made of wood.
However, the biggest challenge with Huntington Beach Pier engagement photos are the crowds. If you want a location where the crowds are low, then consider another location as the crowds tend to be larger here than Newport or Laguna Beaches, and it is near impossible to shoot on a Summer weekend in Huntington.
So, if you feel you can overcome the crowds for the advantages that the Huntington Beach Pier offers then this simple to access location would be ideal for you.
