Extravagant Ballroom and Garden Wedding in Los Angeles

Being a wedding photographer in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas, I get to see a wide array of different types of wedding styles and venues. From coastal to rustic, to industrial, to scenic, we’ve had the privilege of capturing them all. Vaheed and Dina’s elegant outdoor ceremony and ballroom reception wedding at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles was an absolute dream! With a grand ballroom and an outdoor garden ceremony, the glamorous Taglyan Cultural Complex was the perfect setting for this incredible celebration. The Italian-inspired outdoor ceremony location was set amongst bubbling fountains, winding pathways, towering cypress trees, a rose garden, and magnolia and olive trees with twinkling hanging lanterns.

From the very start, this amazing couple was so wonderful to work with. Their genuine love for each other, their families, and every single one of their guests was so evident throughout not only their wedding day but the days leading up to the big day as well!

We had a great time doing their “First Look” photoshoot at the hotel where they got ready at, the W Hotel in Los Angeles. The striking sun-lit lobby of the W Hotel made for gorgeous photos, as Vaheed’s bride made her way down the stairs to see each other for the first time. They were so filled with joy as they wrapped themselves in each other’s arms.

Vaheed awaited his lovely bride at the altar in a classy light gray suit with black accents including a black bow tie. His stunning bride, Dina, walked down the aisle to meet her soon-to-be husband in an Alfred Angelo sweetheart sweep train gown. Dina’s makeup and locks were made perfect by Mandy Hollinger and she held a glorious bouquet of white, fuchsia, and green from Glorious Flowers. She was escorted by her mother and father to an altar adorned with flowers and surrounded by twinkling lights. As for her bridesmaids, they were dressed in mismatched knee-length navy gowns, and the groomsmen paired with the groom in gray suits with blue ties.

After the “I do’s”, the celebration continued indoors with DJ Payman and a delicious three-tiered naked cake from Susie’s Cakes adorned with pink florals. The grand ballroom at the Taglyan Complex truly sets the standard for every other banquet hall wedding venue in Los Angeles. The spacious and elegant indoor reception hall left guests speechless as they walked through the doors!  Each guest table was set with white linens, gold accents, and tall vases filled with an abundance of white flowers, while the sweetheart’s table was decorated with a patterned white tablecloth, candle-lit lanterns, and a gorgeous flower arrangement. Dazzling chandeliers, stained glass ceilings, and the magical fog during the first dance made it so easy for us at Three 16 Photography to capture memories through photos and video for the lovely couple to enjoy for years to come!

As far as a honeymoon goes, Dina and Vaheed planned a trip to Kauai in Hawaii later in the year. Why Kauai? Beautiful, intimate, and quieter than most other islands. Between the personality of their wedding and honeymoon, it sounds like a theme developing here for their wonderful lives together.
