While at a bridal show in Los Angeles in 2018, our Three16 Photography booth was set up across from Winnie Couture. After a weekend of social media shenanigans at the bridal expo, we befriended some of the Winnie staff family. We began seeing their team at almost every bridal show we went too and continued to develop our friendship. Recently, Chelsey from Winnie Couture reached out and asked if we wanted to be a part of their upcoming celebration. Of course, we said yes right away!
Winnie Couture’s Bridal flagship grand opening in Beverly Hills, California was a celebration for the books!
Founded in 2001 by Winnie and Chris Lee, Winnie Couture has become known as one of the fastest-growing, most-in-demand bridal collections throughout the world. Winnie Couture Beverly Hills originally debuted in 2009 but recently relocated and refreshed the look of its salon. Just steps away from Rodeo Drive, the new location and freshly redesigned look of the showroom create a unique shopping experience that leaves every soon-to-be bride feeling like royalty.
We were so excited to be asked to be a part of their grand opening experience and showcase of the 2019 line of gowns on February 21st, 2019! We had the honor of photographing all of the gorgeous details of the event, as well as the new collection.
For a truly elegant and luxurious experience, guests walked down the red carpet and were greeted with a glass of bubbling champagne. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bustling streets of Beverly Hills, this showroom is glowing with plenty of natural sunlight pouring in. The natural light makes the all-white interior, dazzling chandeliers, and touches of silver shine bright to create a polished and enchanting showroom to display these gorgeous gowns!
Models wearing the stunning new gowns from the 2019 collection walked throughout the party flaunting each dress. It’s one thing to see a dress on a hanger or a mannequin, but I think it’s hard to envision the full beauty of the dress until you see it on someone. It was perfect for the brides there who are still in the process of finding the gown that’s just right for them. These new bridal gowns were perfectly crafted and intricately detailed. The bridal looks on the models were completed with hair and makeup by Makeup by Sung, and other Winnie Couture exclusives such as gorgeous heels and sparkling headpieces.
Stevie Brock was the DJ for the evening, and created the perfect atmosphere for the event! Flowers were provided by Fabulous Functions by Jane and spruced up the beautiful space even more. Guests indulged in delicious cupcakes from Jaqki’s Cake Creations, and adorable Winnie Couture customized wedding dress cookies from Cocolat Sweet Designs Los Angeles while they viewed the collections and mingled with various wedding vendors. Mike and Chris from The Beach Bus Photo Booth provided an opportunity for brides to have even more fun, and a chance to take home a memento to remember the celebration! The stunning pink flower backdrop for the photo booth was also crafted to perfection by Fabulous Functions by Jane. Videography for the event was provided by Alec Veznedaroglu and Thomas Brangle who captured the gorgeous gowns and the celebration perfectly.
We had the unique privilege of meeting the designer herself, Winnie Chlomin Lee, and her husband Chris. Just like the collections she designs, she embodies grace, sophistication, and elegance. She and her husband were friendly and approachable to both brides and industry professionals alike. Winnie’s passion for creating beautiful, unique, and stylish designs was evident upon first meeting her, and hearing about her dedication was truly inspiring. Celebrities such as Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Aniston, Giuliana Rancic, Helen Hunt, Masiela Lusha, and Lea Michele have worn her gowns for both weddings, as well as red carpet events. It’s obvious that she is an incredibly talented designer, and it was so wonderful getting to meet her and be a part of this celebration!
The evening came to a close with an amazing raffle with giveaways from various vendors. The Wall Fitness, Friar Tux, Caroline Malouf Boudoir Photography, and Paul Barris from Dancing with the Stars were some of the incredible companies that brides won prizes from!
