Let’s be honest, as a wedding photographer in Orange County I get to do and see a lot of really cool stuff. Throughout Southern California, we are blessed with amazing venues and wedding professionals. Yet as I’ve sat back and pondered the many weddings and photo shoots I’ve been a part of I always find myself wanting to do things outside the everyday norm. I think this bridal shoot was an excellent example of that. Over the past several weeks I have been wanting to do a “Trash the Dress” shoot but I was waiting for everything to come together perfectly. First, our wonderful friends at the Dresser Bridal Couture in Fullerton offered to let us have a dress that was no longer usable. Then we got some lovely flowers from the talented Tustin Florist team. From there our lovely in-house Makeup & Hair Stylist provided her magic. Lastly, we just needed our Bride & Groom and Perris and Nicole Rowan were just perfect.
I’ve had the tremendous honor of meeting Perris & Nicole while in college at Hope International University. Perris lived two dorms down from me and Nicole and I had a few classes together. In the years I have known these two love birds I have been blessed to not only see the genuine love they have for each other but even more so the love they have for others. Perris is a manager at Crossfit 714 here in Orange County and Nicole is a pastor at Prodigal Church in Irvine. When they aren’t working they are offering their time to help others. But it’s not just their kindness that I love about them. No, I LOVE the fact that they aren’t afraid to have fun and laugh which I’m sure is evident in these photos.
So with that said, here is the finished product of our trash the dress bridal shoot.
Want to book a trash the dress shoot or just send us some love? We’d love to hear from you.
A special thanks to our creative team!
