A Perfect Disney Story
One of the greatest things I get to do as an Orange County wedding photographer is to hear amazing love stories such as Jarrod and Ariel’s story. The truth is living in Orange County Disneyland is often involved in many of our love and proposal stories. But I must admit that for this wedding photographer, it has been rare to hear that two met and fell in love while working at Disneyland. I know in many places, people often discourage dating your coworkers but spend just 5 minutes with these two and you just know they are the perfect fit! Over the months leading up to Jarrod & Ariel’s wedding day, I knew it was going to be epic. Being an Orange County wedding photographer, I get to see a lot of weddings and they are always lovely. Though sadly some couples forget that a wedding is all about them and that they should incorporate what they love and what’s important to them throughout the wedding day. I was so happy to see that our two lovebirds did just that for their Grand Traditions Estate Wedding in Fallbrook. Whether it was the various small references to Disney or the bride & groom battling it out with lightsabers or the sparkler exit it was just perfect. Leading up to their Grand Traditions Estate wedding I had the chance to ask our couple some fun questions and I thought I’d share them with you below.
1) As you approach the wedding day, what have you both enjoyed most about the wedding planning process?
Trying the food at the venue and the cake tasting, and meeting all of the vendors. We have not had one bad experience which is great because you always hear horror stories, but we love all our vendors!
2) What has been the hardest part about planning your wedding?
The hardest part is getting back all the RSVPs and making the final count of guests.
3) Why did you choose your particular wedding and reception venue?
This has a two-part answer. It has family history for Ariel because her cousin got married on the Beverly Mansion side. When we went to go look at the Arbor Terrace at the Grand Traditions Estate it was just instant love. It is just like that moment when you find the person you are going to marry and you know. We just looked at each other and knew this was the spot we were going to get married.
4) Where did you draw some of your inspiration for your wedding day?
Pinterest! Ariel has spent so many hours just browsing Pinterest. Also just looking back at our history together we tried to incorporate all those big “us” moments or our favorite things we do together or bonded over when we first started dating.
5) Where are you going for your honeymoon and why did you choose that destination?
Kauai! We are super excited and we chose it because it was free for the most part! All we had to do was pay for our airfare. Just give us an iv drip of pineapple, coconut, macadamia nut, coffee, and alcohol.
