Intimate and Classic Chic Southern California Celebration
Wow! I really love what I do for a living. They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. So true! The great part is meeting many great people, loving couples, the venues, and all the vendors that are used together for these amazing wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Being an Orange County wedding photographer, the people I meet or work with bring so much diversity and culture that I am always learning something new, and that was no different at the wedding ceremony for Lyndsay and Matt. Lyndsay and Matt are a really cute couple together and you can feel their love for one another. We shot their wedding at the La Cañada Thursday Club in the city of La Cañada Flintridge. The La Cañada Thursday Club is a social, cultural, and philanthropic organization that has been around since 1912 and is located only four and a half miles northwest of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
This intimate and classic wedding celebration on April 1st was no joke! La Cañada Thursday Club in La Cañada, California was the perfect gathering spot for Matt and Lyndsay to exchange vows and begin their forever.
Lyndsay wore a lace sweetheart gown with a sparkling beaded belt and completed her bridal look with a dainty flowing veil with lace detail. She carried a stunning blooming bouquet of white with subtle hues of cream and blush. The talented team at Upton Grey Floral did an excellent job with all of the floral arrangements throughout the day- adding delicate and chic detail to the already gorgeous wedding. Lyndsay’s handsome groom, Matt, was dressed in a deep navy suit and tie- adding even more sophistication to the classic vibe of this Southern California wedding. The groomsmen were dressed in dark gray, and the ladies were in deep navy gowns.
The ceremony took place indoors with vaulted ceilings, elegant chandeliers, and yellow mood lighting. The altar was set in front of the stage and was crafted with towering bushels of greenery that framed the newlyweds and created an enchanting atmosphere.
Izzi Ray sang beautifully during the cocktail hour, and the team at Vox DJs provided the music for the rest of the evening. After the ceremony, each guest received a postcard tied to a balloon. The idea was to write a note to Matt and Lyndsay, and wherever the balloon landed and whoever found it was supposed to send it back via snail mail to the couple. What a fun and unique idea, and a beautiful representation of how far and wide love will go!
The reception also took place indoors. Tables were timelessly dressed with light gray linens, white napkins, and dinner plates, and subtle touches of gold and silver in the candle holders and table number decorations. Additional towering greenery and delicate white florals adorned the tables and carried the enchanting atmosphere into the reception space as well. The delicious taco dinner was catered by Kogi, and the elegant and chic textured cake was baked by Porto’s Bakery.
With us at Three16 Photography as the photo team, videographer Ed Ballart, and Photo Matica photo booth, we all captured lasting memories for these two love birds and their guests to cherish for years to come! The coordination from Flawless Weddings and Events made for a pleasant celebration with everything coming together perfectly and running oh so smoothly!
I hope you enjoy Lyndsay and Matt’s Wedding Day Love Story!
