Scott and Nicole met at work in Southern California. After a while of getting to know each other as friends, they went out on their first date. Without realizing how difficult and long the hike actually was, Scott suggested hiking the Hollywood sign. He was worried Nicole wouldn’t be able to do it, or that she’d think he was crazy for asking her to work out on their first date. Even though the hike was a bit more difficult than expected, they both ended up having an amazing time exploring the outdoors and getting to know one another. This Los Angeles adventure would lead to many more in the years to come, including a Caribbean cruise with Scott’s family.
Scott was so ready to pop the question! He worked with his parents to plan a private proposal while at sea that could easily be captured on camera. With the boat having so much foot traffic, they decided that the best place would be on his parent’s balcony overlooking the ocean. While everyone was taking turns having their pictures taken on the first day, his dad handed him the ring box. It was finally his and Nicole’s turn to pose for photos. After the last snap, he told her that before they left the States he had asked for her parents’ blessing. He then turned to her, got on one knee, and asked the big question! Surprised and filled with excitement, she instantly started to cry. Scott’s dad stepped in and said with a smile, “Well, answer!” and she shouted with joy “YES!”. It was the perfect start to their vacation, and they had the rest of the cruise to celebrate!
After months of planning long-distance (Scott in AZ, and Nicole in CA), their big day was finally here! These two best friends were beyond excited to be getting married! Scott and Nicole chose to have their ceremony at their church and the reception at Orange County Mining Company. Located in Santa Ana, California, this rustic and historic reception venue boasts a panoramic view facing the sunset- a unique and perfect space for these two to celebrate becoming one!
Nicole chose an elegant sweetheart gown from Blush Bridal Couture and finished her look with a stunning bouquet from Kevin Reeder Wedding Flowers of white florals and pastel greenery- including succulents and eucalyptus. Her handsome groom was dressed in a light gray suit from Friar Tux with green accessories. The bridal party matched their mint and gray theme in knee-length mint gowns and matching light gray suits. These light hues created a perfect combination for their soft color palette.
All of the details of the day came together perfectly thanks to the help of coordination from Lindsey Boyd at Circle Your Date. From the fantastic music selection from Last Dance Entertainment to their delicious Disney-inspired white and gold cake from Pacific Patisserie, the reception was a perfect end to their day of celebration! Tables were dressed with white linens, mint accents, and burlap and lace table runners. Each guest was gifted an adorable succulent party favor to say thank you!
