It was the second day of college, and among the hundreds of students in class, Kenny stepped out boldly to strike up a conversation with Leslie. Although Leslie seemed apprehensive about conversing, and they didn’t interact for another 5 years after that conversation, the stars aligned and they met again their senior year. Unlike their first encounter, sparks were flying the moment they reconnected. Despite the immediate connection and excitement to get to know each other, they both slept through their first date (which they planned during finals week). Not wanting to cancel their time together, they rushed to Wendy’s and dined in their car. Definitely an unforgettable first date!
Dreaming of a celebration away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, Kenny and Leslie found exactly what they were looking for in an enchanting outdoor wedding venue. Away from distractions and the chaos of LA traffic, they found Calamigos Ranch- nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu, California. Inspired by the look and feel of the gorgeous venue, their elegant decor, rustic fairy tale theme, and pastel colors accentuated the romantic and enchanting storybook venue. Amy Greenberg Events expertly coordinated each moment as the day smoothly unraveled into a wonderful celebration. Our team at Three16 Photography retold the story of this amazing day through photo and video, providing memories to last a lifetime. Kate Baker Floral, a Los Angeles Wedding Florist, worked her magic and created stunning pastel bouquets, table arrangements, and floral details of pastel pink, purple, white, and blue.
Leslie’s makeup and elegantly curled, half-up and half-down ‘do, were both done by Hollywood Makeup Studio. She looked stunning in a fairy tale-inspired sweetheart, asymmetrical silk gown with layered fabric, a ruffled skirt, and sparkling floral details. Her Maid of Honor wore a pastel pink, one-shoulder ruffled dress. Kenny was dressed to perfection as well in a royal blue suit, with a pastel pink tie and brown shoes. His Best Man matched him in another royal blue suit but paired it with a navy tie and black shoes.
Enclosed and shaded by an enchanting forest and an abundance of ivy, the ceremony started when a string quartet began playing, and the bridal party walked down a stone path lined with lush flower petals and lanterns, to a massive tree draped with dazzling lights. The couple exchanged their “I do’s” under the extravagant tree that one would only think to find in a storybook.
The elegant draping white fabric with sparkling string lights at the reception was nothing short of what one would expect at a dreamy, fairy-tale wedding, and it set the tone for an extravagant party. Each table setting was simple yet chic, set with florals, lanterns, white tablecloths, and gold napkins. Guests partied all night to tunes provided by Vox DJs, only taking breaks to grab a bite at the Afters Ice Cream cart, get creative with selfies in The Booth & Bus Co. photo booth, and satisfy more of their sweet tooth with a plate of Porto’s Bakery detailed three-tiered cake. Transportation for the day was provided by Classy Chassis Rentals.
