And this is why I became a wedding photographer…. Great Couples!! Sarah and Blake have been such a fun couple to work with over the months leading up to their wedding that it warms my heart to see two wonderful people find their happiness. In addition, I had the privilege to get to know their awesome family as well.
Sarah and Blake always pictured their wedding ceremony having a beautiful scenic backdrop. So when they first visited Tustin Ranch Golf Club, they fell in love. Tustin Ranch Golf Club in Tustin is located in the middle of Orange County, just north of Tustin Market Place. Tustin Ranch is a gorgeous Golf Club with lush greenery and beautiful landscapes. Designed by Ted Robinson, the course has received four-star rankings for several years in a row now by Golf Digest Magazine.
The initial dramatic driveway lined with thick pillar palm trees gave these two the feeling of romantic woodland tropics. It holds a fresh, airy, elegance that felt just perfect for the two of them. The lush green carpet of grass sweeping over the soft hills made them feel like they were walking through a distant forest instead of a Southern California golf course. They couldn’t wait to meet each other at the altar where they would seal their forever and always with a kiss in front of a lily-blossom-lined lake, reflecting the spring sunset. So when the wedding day finally came, they were bursting with excitement!
Sarah got ready alongside her bride tribe, who was dressed in mismatched bright pastel gowns that paired with the pops of color in the groomsmen’s wardrobes. The groomsmen were dressed in all black everything- except for their ties, which made for a clean and classy look with a fun accent! Sarah chose a traditional gown with lace detail from Mary Me Bridal, which paired with her beautiful lace headpiece. She finished off her look with a long flowing veil, pearl jewelry, and a bright bouquet of orange, purple, yellow, and blue from Kat’s Creations Floral Design wrapped with colorful cascading ribbons. Her handsome groom was dressed in a light gray suit from The Suit Co with a white tie and pocket square and black shoes.
Every detail of this traditional and vibrant Orange County Spring wedding was captured by the videographers at Cinema Life Weddings and our team of photographers at Three16 Photography.
It was so important to both Sarah and Blake that they find vendors who truly understand who they are as a couple and what they’re all about. So they took careful consideration in finalizing each and every one of their vendor choices, which created an amazing team of professionals who brought everything together seamlessly!
Sarah and Blake finished off the night with an awesome sparkler exit. Amazing!
We look forward to the many future chapters that we get to capture in the life of these two wonderful people. I hope you enjoy their story.
A. Growing closer together and learning about each other. Enjoying how many similar tastes we share and how funny it is when we both pick the same thing unexpectedly. We most enjoyed our food tasting and how it felt like we were judges from a cooking show with plates and plates of food in front of us!! And of course the complimentary champagne, along with a beautiful view and time with our parents.
Q. What has been the hardest part about planning your wedding?
A. Finding time to coordinate schedules between the normal maintenance of life, work, and spend relaxing quality time with each other. Also, spending time focusing on the Lord and growing together in Faith, and having fun with our friends. In addition, finding vendors who really understand who we are and what we’re all about. And lastly strategizing as a couple how we would like to celebrate our love in our wedding ceremony, what we both have pictured as a wedding for us, and combing our ideas to complement each other.
Q. Why did you choose your particular wedding and reception venue?
A. We chose Tustin Ranch Golf Club because we loved the outdoor and indoor space and we both had always pictured a wedding ceremony with beautiful scenery. We also looked for a family-friendly atmosphere that would be enjoyable for all. The grounds at Tustin Ranch are simply gorgeous. The initial dramatic driveway lined with thick pillar palm trees gave us the feeling of romantic woodland tropics. It holds a fresh, airy, elegance that felt perfect for us. The lush green carpet of grass sweeping over the soft hills made us feel like we were walking through a distant forest instead of a Southern California Golf Course. We couldn’t wait to meet each other at the altar on April 9th, 2017 where we sealed our “forever and always” with a kiss in front of a lily blossom-lined lake, reflecting the spring sunset.
Q. Where did you draw some of your inspiration for your wedding day?
A. We drew ideas from each other. We talked about our wedding day and imagined ourselves together and shared what we pictured. Pinterest was helpful in finding a visual representation of what we pictured for groomsmen’s attire & bridesmaid hair and makeup.
Q. Where are you going for your honeymoon? Are you excited and why did you choose that destination?
A. We are going to Maui in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We could not be more excited!! We both had daily countdown apps on our phones showing us how close we were to the wedding day and honeymoon. We chose Maui because we wanted to get to a tropical place as fast as possible. This is our first vacation together and all we wanted is to lay in the sand together, cool off by floating in the waves, and watch the sky explode with color every night as the sunsets.
