As an Orange County Professional Photographer, I just adore the couples we meet, whether it’s to photograph their engagement session, their wedding, various stages of their family life or any combination of any of those, each one of them are truly great to work with. But perhaps our favorite part is hearing their stories. This is especially true for Arron and Jessi. A truly wonderful couple that we had the pleasure of photographing at their Rancho Las Lomas Wedding in Silverado here in Orange County.
Nestled under ancient oak and sycamore trees, the open-air theater with a marble ceremonial stage was a spectacular place to say, “I do.” The white stucco, the blue and white hand painted tiles, and the botanical gardens that surround the large patios helped set the mood for a truly enchanting experience. With long flowing white fabric, a perfectly styled arrangement of flowers hanging from the altar, and string lights, the ceremony and reception was dripping with elegance. The setting for their ceremony was simply perfect.
Why did they choose Rancho Las Lomas? They said they fell in love with it from first sight. That it is full of life and surrounded with nature. It’s relaxing and the views were beautiful. They let their imaginations take over as they could see their families having good times there on the wedding day and little children enjoying the zoo. They sat back and enjoyed the thought of them having a very romantic wedding at Rancho Las Lomas. Then their imaginations changed to the honeymoon, relaxing in Hawaii.

Jessi and Arron’s Love Story
As you approach the wedding day, what have you both enjoyed most about the wedding planning process?
Every day the wedding preparations bring us to believe more that yes, we are becoming husband and wife. That is what we enjoyed the most. We also enjoyed lots of other things. Jessi loved and worked very hard on wedding preparations to an extent that she is really considering becoming a wedding planner! This of course shouldn’t mean Arron is considering becoming an accountant. We enjoyed learning to dance together and enjoyed working with all our vendors. We felt we are working with our best friends indeed. In the end, as all the preparations, enjoyable or stressful, were reminding us more and more we are becoming husband and wife. That is what we enjoyed the most.
What has been the hardest part about planning your wedding?
Planning was the hardest part; it was itself a nuisance for us. It’s packed with details. Jessi has done most of this work and she did a wonderful job. She makes a perfect wedding planner! While budgeting was very challenging, planning was always the most difficult and never-ending task.
Why did you choose your particular wedding and reception venue?
We fell in love with Rancho Las Lomas from first sight. It’s full of life and surrounded with nature. While touring the venue we felt relaxed and enjoyed the views. We could see our families having good times there on the wedding day. We imagined little children enjoying the zoo. We could see us having a very romantic wedding. Also, we were impressed with the quality of service we and our families will get from 24 Carrots Catering.
Where did you draw some of your inspiration from for your wedding day?
Pinterest, magazines and friends’ weddings. Our wedding coordinator also gave us good ideas.
Where are you going for the honeymoon? Are you excited and why did you choose that destination?
We are tired from too much stress from work, wedding planning and house hunting/escrow. We decided to go to Hawaii, and we are very excited about it. We chose Hawaii because it is a place where we can relax and spend quality time with each other without worrying about daily life routine.
