Rancho Las Lomas Wedding in Silverado, California

Orange County Professional Photographer
We love couples that are so much in-love with each other that living nearly 3,000 miles from one another does not keep them apart. That kind of commitment truly shines through in the photography we shoot. Whether it be at their engagement photo session or the wedding itself, you can’t replace love and true emotions. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy being an Orange County Professional Photographer, because I get to capture those emotions on camera to be preserved for a lifetime. That’s why we had a real thrill photographing Jackie and Nico’s charming Rancho Las Lomas Wedding in Silverado, California.
Nestled under ancient oak and sycamore trees, the open-air theater with a marble ceremonial stage was a spectacular place to say, “I do.” The white stucco, the blue and white hand painted tiles, and the botanical gardens that surround the large patios helped set the mood for a truly enchanting experience. With long flowing white fabric, a perfectly styled arrangement of flowers hanging from the altar, and string lights, the ceremony and reception was dripping with elegance.
The inspiration for the color palette came from garden scenes and the bride’s personal taste. The light natural blush and navy colors, along with the abundance of greenery set the tone for a sweet, classic, and elegant atmosphere. The bridesmaids were styled in long, high-necked blush colored gowns, and the groomsmen wore deep navy suits to match the groom. He added his own flair to his outfit by adding cowboy boots.
Jackie’s beautiful, voluminous locks were effortlessly curled, and she looked amazing. She chose minimal jewelry and dangling earrings to accessorize with. Her stunning, elegant mermaid gown definitely had heads turning. Jackie’s flower bouquet was a stunning assortment of ivory and pink, with lush greenery throughout. Their sweet cake with textured icing and an array of flowers, added to the elegant style. The reception tables were adorned with large eye-catching bouquets, plenty of greenery, and gold accents.
Every aspect of the day came together beautifully to create a stunning, natural, and enchanting wedding!
Jackie and Nico proved that long distance relationships can still lead to fairy-tale weddings.

Jackie and Nico’s Love Story
How did you both meet? And tell us about your first date.
We met at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas! I was on a trip with my girlfriends (Maid of Honor Allie and Bridesmaid Haley). Nico was on a trip with three of his other friends (Groomsmen Alec and Teddy, and wedding guest Shane) for their high school graduation trip. We met the first night and immediately gravitated towards each other. By the end of the week-long vacation, we had spent time every day together! We exchanged numbers and parted ways back to Florida (for me) and California (for Nico).
Three weeks later my parents and I went on vacation to California to visit San Francisco and the Napa Valley area. Nico and I had been texting and I let him know I’d be in California. He said he lived about an hour from the city but would love to take me out to dinner at the Fisherman’s Wharf near our hotel. We went to an Italian restaurant on our “First date” and then to the aquarium. We had a blast and decided to continue texting/skyping as we went to college. After about six months we started “officially” dating and spent two and a half years doing long distance from Tallahassee, Florida to Seattle, Washington. In January 2015 I made the move out to California after graduating from Florida State University. We moved in together and bought a puppy in June 2015!
What’s the proposal story? Give us all the details and who cried first?
The Lopez and Lunardi family decided to spend the week of the 4th of July at a beach house in South Carolina (Isle of Palms). After a busy day of waking up at 4am and arriving at 4pm, we finally arrived at the beach house. My parents had arrived few hours before and were there to greet us. After about 20 minutes of unloading the car and choosing our room, Nico asked me if I wanted to go check out the house’s balcony overlooking the beach. Naturally I said “Nah, it’s kinda windy,” but he ended up persuading me to go. Once we got out there, the balcony had been “set-up” for a perfect proposal. Nico started explaining how much he loves me, etc, before I knew it, he had pulled the sheet off of a canvas that said, “Jackie, will you marry me?” and he got down on one knee. I was so excited!! Little did I know, everyone was watching from inside through the tinted windows! We spent the week celebrating and wedding planning.
As you approach the wedding day, what have you both enjoyed most about the wedding planning process?
Talking about our future together and HONEYMOON planning!!
What has been the hardest part about planning your wedding?
I have been working towards my master’s degree, student teaching, working towards a teaching credential and we moved all while trying to plan the wedding! My family lives on the East Coast, so other than some small details (and paying for it- thanks mom and dad), I’ve planned the wedding on my own.
Why did you choose your particular wedding and reception venue?
We went on a Southern California venue tour about a month after we got engaged. We had been to about five venues and none of them really seemed like it was the one. The next day when we arrived at Rancho Las Lomas. I called my mom from the parking lot letting her know that we hadn’t gone onto the main property yet, didn’t know the price and didn’t know the available dates, but that we would 100% get married there. We toured the venue and fell in love with it all over again! We love animals, so that fact that it’s also a zoo is perfect for us (we have five pets).
Where did you draw some of your inspiration from for your wedding day?
Pinterest, natural colors, gardens and my personal taste!
Where are you going for the honeymoon? Are you excited and why did you choose that destination?
GREECE! We are extremely excited for it because it’s the perfect mix of relaxation, culture, good food and exploration! We will be visiting Athens, Santorini and Crete!
