Being a Yorba Linda native, it was such a privilege to be a part of this Richard Nixon Library wedding. We often get to work at some beautiful wedding venues here in southern California but the Richard Nixon Library has always held a special place in my heart. Growing up I often passed by and even now as an adult I pass by it every time I go to the gym. So as an Orange County wedding photographer, it was such an honor to finally get to photograph here but more importantly I am so glad that Katie & Terry were our first Richard Nixon Library wedding couple.
Over the months leading up to Katie and Terry’s special day I got to know a little about them and what I loved was hearing the simple joy they had as they talked about each other. They didn’t have to go on complimenting each other for you to see their genuine affection for one another. Sometimes it seems that life has to be full of constant adventures and big moments. Yet I found that Terry and Katie found excitement in the day-to-day things and even in planning their own Richard Nixon Library wedding. Katie told us that in planning the wedding, they enjoyed perfecting every small detail and of course spending countless hours finding inspiration on Pinterest. And to say their wedding was beautiful would be an understatement. Honestly from this photographer’s point of view, their wedding day was perfect and was filled with so many sweet moments.
Looking back on Katie and Terry’s day they weren’t just glowing with love for each other but it was so delightful to see how close they are to their family and friends. Many of the sweet moments we captured throughout the day were shared directly with those that they love. From Terry gifting his dad an epic watch, to Katie getting ready with her mom and bridesmaids to the touching speeches from their fathers. Simply put this is one wedding I know I’ll be looking back on and asking, “can we do it again?” We here at Three16 Photography are so happy and proud of Katie and Terry but most of all we are thankful to have earned their friendship.
