As an Orange County Professional Photographer, I just adore the couples we meet, whether it’s to photograph their engagement session, their wedding, various stages of their family life or any combination of any of those, each one of them are truly great to work with. But perhaps our favorite part is to hear their stories. This is especially true for Michelle and Ryan. A truly wonderful couple that we had the pleasure of photographing for their Summit House Wedding here in Orange County.
The Summit House Restaurant is located in the city of Fullerton and was built back in 1989. This hilltop manor gives you breathtaking panoramic views of Orange County and the San Bernardino mountains, which makes the Summit House one of Orange County’s Premier Wedding Ceremony and Reception Venues. This location is designed as a romantic English Manor that will give you a warm atmosphere that you are sure to love. It features carved high beam ceilings, fireplaces and floor to ceiling windows that emphasizes the welcoming environment for you and your guests. It also has special meaning for me personally as I used to work there back when I was first getting a feel for photography.
Michelle and Ryan chose this wedding venue because they are doing a small to medium sized wedding with their closest friends and family and they really wanted to spoil their guests with a great time and acknowledge the people who traveled far to be there.

Michelle and Ryan’s Love Story
What three things do you admire most about your soon-to-be spouse and Why?
Ryan: I admire my fiancé’s intelligence, generosity and ambition. She inspires me to be my best self. Michelle: Intelligence, compassion and that he is always my rock.
Describe each other in one word and why did you choose that word?
Ryan: Michelle is amazing!! No single word would be enough!
Michelle: Ryan is my happiness.
Any advice for other newly engaged couples as they begin to plan their wedding?
If wedding planning becomes stressful, work on honeymoon planning or the gift registry instead. Also, as with everything, compromise and figure out what is important vs. what isn’t.
Looking back on planning your wedding, is there anything you would have done differently?
Started sooner or scheduled for later. Nine months went by very quickly.
What’s the plans for the honeymoon?
Ten days scuba diving and snorkeling in Turks and Caicos. All-inclusive resort with open bar!
