Some locations can be super crowded. While a session at the beach, a popular park or Disneyland can be great, it may not be ideal for you.

Do you love nature? Did you go to a fair on your first date? While a beautiful garden might be fun for some, maybe it isn't the perfect location for you.

As seasons shift so does temperature, sunset times, foliage and crowds. Not all locations are a great choice year round.

If you are a fan of art, then a Geffen Contemporary engagement photo session is the right place for you! The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is filled with unique artistic display pieces that would highlight any of your photos. Opening in 1979, the Geffen is the only museum in LA that was founded by artists only so that the museum has the view of the artists themselves and not outsiders. Geffen Contemporary Engagement Photos in Los Angeles by Three16 Photography will add some unique architecture & art that will enhance your engagement photos.
There are plenty of artistic structures with the right lighting that will make your photos pop a little more than just a day at the park. However, if you are looking to add some green foliage to your photos, there is a strip of plants right at the entrance to the building that is sure to satisfy your wanting of greenery in your photos.
Although Geffen has a lot of really nice items to incorporate into your engagement photo session, you might want to consider another location or two as well. Being in downtown Los Angeles, the options are pretty endless. Just to the south is Little Tokyo and the Arts District. The Arts District will keep with your theme of art in an outdoor setting throughout the city. Little Tokyo will connect you to many of the Japanese traditions. To the north and we can find many of the local and federal government buildings and police forces. And to the west is The Last Bookstore, the Bradbury Building and next door to the Japanese American National Museum of Los Angeles, among many other great places to see or do.
The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is open to the public for a small fee, but keep in mind they are closed on Tuesdays and are only open from 11am until early evening.
