Orange County Wedding Photographer
Regardless of whether you work in Los Angeles or Orange County as a wedding photographer, or any other job in the wedding industry, you know that 2020 has been an odd kind of year as you see more and more weddings taking place at personal residences in lieu of the various wedding venues. And the same could be said for the smaller guest sizes that are in attendance. As with several other couples, this was the same scenario that recently happened to a wonderful couple, Chris and Suzie, as they opted to get married on October 10th at Suzie’s parent’s private residence in Yorba Linda.
Chris and Suzie were such a joy to work with and get to know. It’s pretty unusual to have a couple contact a photographer, or any other wedding vendor, only a month before the big day, but when Suzie and Chris contacted us, I knew my team would make it work for them. That’s just what we do here at Three16 Photography. It’s about making special days, special for our clients.
The Yorba Linda area is one of our favorite areas to shoot engagement and wedding photography. There are such venues at the Richard Nixon Library, Redwood Groves, The Barn, and although it’s technically Anaheim, the Yorba Regional Park is near the border. Alta Vista Country Club is also off the border in Placentia. But there is one other wedding venue in Yorba Linda that is simply gorgeous: The Black Gold Golf Club. Now, we don’t get asked to photograph wedding rehearsals very often, but even though Suzie and Chris’ wedding was going to be at a house, the rehearsal dinner took place at the Black Gold Golf Club.
Why is Black Gold one of our favorites? This golf course offers a beautiful stretch of lush greens and a lake, which can be viewed from inside the 20,000 square foot Black Gold clubhouse. This beautiful wedding venue also has an 18th hole waterfall that makes for a gorgeous backdrop to your wedding, or wedding rehearsal photos. Not to mention, they have an awesome wrap-around porch, the kind you see in the mid-west or the south and a hilltop view of northern Orange County. And oh, those sunsets!
At the wedding itself, Jenifer looked stunning as she was escorted down the aisle to her handsome groom Chris. After the ceremony, the DJ sounds provided by Moondance Mobile Music kept the party hopping all night long, while guests were fed a terrific dinner by the catering team at Pizza 900. They had a small wedding cake for the purpose of the cutting ceremonies, but family and friends brought a variety of different pies to be shared for dessert. This beautiful wedding ceremony and reception had that old-time traditional community feel to it and it was fabulously coordinated by Liz.
We would really like to thank Suzie and Chris for allowing us to be part of your special day, as all of the details of their rehearsal dinner and private wedding were captured by the team at Three16 Photography.
