What if you’re looking for a park location as your choice to hold your engagement photo session at and we told you there was a park that had no frills to it. No playground. No athletic fields. Not a “nature” park that you can get at the many other Orange County parks. Just a park with some grass and a few bushes. Interested? Probably not. Located atop Newport Beach, just south of Route 73 and about 4-5 miles from Crystal Cove State Beach, Coastal Vista View Park is an absolutely beautiful location that many people don’t even know about. As said, the scenic view is simply stunning. And in addition of the views, there are plenty of large rocks that also create great photographic backgrounds.

One other aspect we like about this park is that, unless someone is having a large picnic, the crowds are next to none, leaving little intrusion into your photo session.

If time permits, and you want to include an additional location to mix it up a bit, once we get down the hill, there is the aforementioned Crystal Cove State Beach, but go north and it takes us into Newport Beach that has the pier, the jetty’s, Newport Beach Island, and of course Balboa Fun Zone. Go south on Coast Highway and it takes us the heart of Laguna Beach, which also has a variety of beaches, a great downtown area and so much more.

So, if you are looking for engagement photography in a fairly unknown location with some of the best overlooking views in Orange County, then consider Coastal Vista View Park.
