Being a Los Angeles Professional Photographer, I love what my team and I do for a living. After all, I just adore the couples we meet, whether it’s to photograph their engagement session, their wedding, various stages of their family life or any combination of any of those, each one of them are truly great to work with. And for many, their stories are heartfelt and inspiring. This is true for Mike and Sarah as we loved hearing their story about their relationship and how they met and all the way up to the day at the altar at the beautiful Hotel Maya in Long Beach.
The Hotel Maya overlooks the beautiful city skyline, as well as the Queen Mary, and offers you a tropical paradise wedding setting. They have about 400 decorated palm trees sitting on their manicured grounds. This location is simply stunning!
Sarah and Mike met online via the dating website, Match.com and it’s been a great run ever since. Their first date was dinner at Fred’s on the Huntington Beach Pier before heading over to Sharkey’s for drinks. But it was a different beach where the magic took place as Mike popped the question to Sarah as they were enjoying the beach on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Sarah admitted that she cried first.
As for their wedding planning, they experienced the same as many other couples, where the bride’s favorite part was finding her wedding dress, but finding vendors were the hardest part. Sarah and Mike are no different. After the wedding, Mike and Sarah are heading out on a 7-night Caribbean cruise! They like the idea of a cruise because they can go to multiple locations.
