As Professional Photographers here in Southern California, we just adore the couples we meet, whether it’s to photograph their engagement session, their wedding, various stages of their family life or any combination of those, as each one of them are truly great to work with. But perhaps our favorite part is hearing their stories. How they met, how they became interested in each other, their first date and of course, the proposal. This is especially true for Christy and Garett. A truly wonderful couple that we had the pleasure of photographing their wedding at Ponte Winery.
Located in the heart of Temecula Wine Country, this awesome vineyard wedding venue boasts amazing views of the rolling hills of grape vines. It offers you two outdoor locations to choose from for your ceremony, as well as one indoor location, and can accommodate up to 400 guests! Temecula offers scenic views and plenty of vineyards that makes for beautiful backdrops to your ceremony and your wedding photos. A Ponte Winery Wedding makes for a great wedding location, which is probably why Christy and Garett chose this wedding venue.
Elegant, classic, and romantic. These three words are the perfect combo to describe Garett and Christy’s wedding. Not only are Garett and Christy a gorgeous couple, but their wedding venue was absolutely gorgeous as well, which made for amazing photos from the team at Three16 Photography.
Christy was a stunning bride in her lace Pronovias gown, and we’re absolutely obsessed with her floral bouquet. Garett awaited his lovely bride in an all-black suit, while his groomsmen by his side also dressed to the nines! Our favorite pop of color? The bride tribe’s elegant deep red gowns. We loved the romantic color theme of white, gold, black, and deep red for this winery wedding!
Garett and Christy’s outdoor ceremony was one for the books. The centerpiece to the ceremony, the pergola, was decorated with dreamy white florals and lush greenery, which was perfect for framing these two as they exchanged their vows! With such a beautiful backdrop, and a perfectly overcast day, it made for a picture-perfect ceremony. This wedding featured John Garcia as he was live painting their ceremony!

Christy and Garett’s Love Story
How did you both meet and who liked who first?
We met at Garett’s best friend’s birthday party. We were both very interested in each other right away.
Tell us about your first date. Who was more nervous and what did you guys do?
We went on a double date out to dinner with friends. Christy was probably more nervous.
What’s the proposal story? Give us all the details and tell us, who cried first?
We went on a weekend getaway to San Diego. Garett had a beautiful proposal set up at Torrey Pines on a cliff overlooking the ocean. He set up a secret photographer who took our pictures of the engagement. Christy couldn’t stop crying.
As you approach the wedding day, what have you both enjoyed most about the wedding planning process?
We enjoyed finding our venue the most.
What has been the hardest part about planning your wedding?
All of the little things that come towards the end right before the wedding that need to be decided and trying to remember everything that needs to get done.
Why did you choose your particular wedding and reception venue?
We thought it was beautiful and perfect for us.
Where did you draw some of your inspiration from for your wedding day?
We just wanted to pull from the elegant and classic beauty of the venue & vineyards.
Where are you going for the honeymoon and why did you choose that destination?
We are going to Maui, HI. We are very excited as we have never been to Hawaii before.
