Surf & sand Resort
One of the great pleasures of being Orange County photographers, is that we love photographing down in Laguna Beach. From the unique architecture of the buildings to the hills, and to the beaches, this city offers so much to offer. However, we have built a pretty good reputation for engagements shoots along this city’s beaches. One location, the Surf and Sand Resort is no exception. A Surf and Sand Resort engagement photography session in Laguna Beach by Three16 Photography is sure to bring you many years of joy.
Over time, we have shot a few weddings at this amazing venue, and they always come out so beautiful. What we like about engagement sessions is taking that same wedding experience but reducing the number of restrictions. An engagement session is like working with a blank canvas.
The Surf & Sand Resort has a Mediterranean Village feel to it and without exception, this venue is simply beautiful. The venue itself offers three locations for wedding ceremonies, the Catalina Terrace, the Ocean Terrace or simply a spot on the actual beach. We would need to get permission to photograph on at the resort itself, but the beach area in front of it will allow us to get the resort to serve as a backdrop.
Not only does photographing along the coastline bring you that style that Orange County is known for, but it too serves as terrific backdrops. If you plan for an early evening session, we can get a glimpse of the sun setting onto the Pacific Ocean, which truly will make your photos come out exceptionally gorgeous.
If time permits to add a second location, there are so many options in this area to choose from. Of course, we can stay along the beach area, such as the nearby Arch Cove or Woods Cove, or we can go a little further south to Victoria Beach or Treasure Island Beach. Overlooking the coastline is The Montage or we can head up north along S. Coast Highway about a mile and we can walk Downtown Laguna Beach and all its unique shops.
