Orange County Professional Photographer
One of the things I enjoy about being a professional photographer in Orange County, especially in the wedding industry, is getting away from the wedding day itself and getting out with the couple and photograph their engagement photo session. Typically, the couple is more at ease with one another, as well as with the photographer and with their surroundings compared to that of their wedding day. It’s a time for them just to relax, be in love, to be in the moment with each other and to get used to being in front of a camera. An engagement photo session allows the couple to really put their love for one another on display and I got this feeling in a recent shoot with Jackie and Spencer at Table Rock Beach.
Located in Laguna Beach, Table Rock is one of our favorite beach locations in Orange County. We love what this location brings to your photographs as it has plenty of amazing, natural backdrops. Table Rock Beach offers many coves that we can incorporate into your shoot, as well as all the rock formations, especially the large rock right in the middle of the beach. If we time it right, we can catch waves crashing up against the rock while you are on it. And of course, if we can capture the beauty of a sunset hitting the waters at just the right angle, your photos are sure to pop with beauty. This beach is a bit hidden compared to the larger beaches and although people do come to visit the area, it is usually not enough to hinder your session or be in the background of your photos. So, we have that going for us. Which is nice.
Jackie and Spencer’s session was playful and loving. They seemed very relaxed along the sandy shoreline and you can really feel the love between these two during our time together at the beach. It makes sense that they chose a coastline location for their session since after all, they did meet at a fun sailing competition in Marina Del Ray. They were part of a larger group that was randomly put on teams, whether you knew the others or not. And that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
They continued to text for the next couple of months until they finally had the chance to go out. After Jackie’s wild adventure through Palmdale looking for Spencer, they finally had dinner… with his parents no less! Jackie didn’t see that coming. Ha!
From that point on, Jackie and Spencer’s journey just continued to grow. And what a story they will be able to tell their kids and grandkids someday.
