Orange County Professional Photographer
What my team and I love most about being professional photographers here in Orange County is when we get the opportunity to be your photographer for life, meaning capturing all the important moments that mean the most to you. Starting with the marriage proposal, to the engagement session, the wedding, maternity, well you get the “picture.” We recently had the honor of photographing the marriage proposal of Solomon and Lindsey at Treasure Island Beach.
Located in Laguna Beach, just south of Victoria Beach, Treasure Island, in our opinion, has some of the best rock formations out of all the beaches along the stretch of Laguna. We truly love the scenery here. If you go one direction, you have the beautiful ocean water, go another direction you have the rocks and if you look back, you have the hills, the expensive homes and the fencing along the trail down to the beach. There is something unique no matter which way we face at this location and to us, that is what makes this beach so much fun.
Solomon’s plan was pretty simple as his goal was to propose to Lindsey near the water’s edge. Unfortunately, neither of us planned the exact spot at the beach. So, after we carefully texted back and forth, and I realized where they were, I made a run for it… in the sand… with two cameras around my neck. It must have been quite the scene. Once I arrived at the proper place on the beach, Solomon and I made eye contact and I gave him the thumbs up. Of course, my concern was that Lindsey would see me and the surprise would be ruined. But there were several photographers at Treasure Island this day taking photos of the beach, the ocean and a few family photo sessions were going on, so she just thought I was there to take pictures of the ocean and beach, and not for her.
They could not have picked a more picture-perfect day. The sun was out and was in the mid-70’s, maybe low 80’s and there wasn’t much of a breeze, so that’s always helpful when you’re photographing at the beach.
The time came for Solomon to make his move. He got Lindsey to turn towards the ocean as he told her he saw dolphins. Lindsey looked but to no avail, but when she turned around Solomon was down on one knee with a ring in hand. Of course, she said yes!
On behalf of the entire team at Three16 Photography, we cannot be happier for you both!!
Check out their love story. We hope you enjoy it, and their photos, as much as we do.

What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together and what makes your relationship unique?
Our relationship is special because we both like to do all the same things. We both love to travel to ski resorts and to Europe and have a party wherever we go.
Tell us about your proposal story! How and where did it all unfold, who cried first, and were you surprised?
The proposal happened at Treasure Island beach in Laguna Beach! Solomon brought me down to the beach and when we got to the edge of the water, he said, “look at the dolphins out there!” I checked over and saw nothing, when I turned back towards him, he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I had a feeling it was coming that day, but I didn’t know it was going to happen at that moment! So, it was a happy surprise!
