As Professional Photographers here in Southern California, we just adore the couples we meet, whether it’s to photograph their engagement session, their wedding, various stages of their family life, or any combination of those, as each one of them is truly great to work with. But perhaps our favorite part is hearing their stories. How they met, how they became interested in each other, their first date, and of course, the proposal. This is especially true for Vanessa and Dustin. A truly wonderful couple that we had the pleasure of photographing their wedding at the Wedgewood Vellano Country Club.
Talk about your gorgeous locations for a wedding ceremony and reception. Located in Chino Hills, up in the hills behind the community of Vellano sits your dream wedding destination. Located in a private setting in a gated community, this location offers an elegant and classic look to your day. It has a Mediterranean Tuscany look to it with a modern ballroom that is very detailed and was the perfect backdrop for Vanessa and Dustin to say, “I do.”
On a perfect fall day in Southern California, these two love birds tied the knot and began their forever together! Vanessa was dressed in an elegant lace gown that was paired with a lovely flowing veil. The bride was ready to go with her hair and makeup making her look elegantly beautiful. Along with her blooming bouquet of white and greenery, Vanessa was ready to walk down the aisle to meet her soon-to-be-husband! As Dustin awaited the love of his life, by his side stood the wedding party in emerald gowns and gray suits. This emerald green, gold, gray, and white color scheme was the perfect fit for this glamorous Tuscany-turned-oz-inspired wedding!
After the outdoor ceremony on the lush green field of Vellano, with elegant towering arborvitae trees as the backdrop, it was time to celebrate these two becoming one at their ballroom reception! It was definitely a celebration to remember, and Three16 Photography captured it all for memories for years to come!

Vanessa and Dustin’s Love Story
How did you both meet and who liked who first?
Dustin saw Vanessa at a mutual friend’s birthday party about five years ago. Dustin liked Vanessa first.
Tell us about your first date. Who was more nervous and what did you guys do?
Their first official date actually happened almost a year after they had been dating. Before then, they would just hang out at Dustin’s house watching TV and cooking dinner. But for their official date, they had dinner and drinks at BJ’s Brewhouse. They talked non-stop the whole night about everything you could think of.
What’s the proposal story? Give us all the details and tell us, who cried first?
Dustin took Vanessa to a winery for her 30th birthday. On their first day there, as they walked through the vineyard, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
As you approach the wedding day, what have you both enjoyed most about the wedding planning process?
The excitement leading up to the big day and finally being able to call each other Husband and Wife!!
What has been the hardest part about planning your wedding?
Limiting guest count.
Why did you choose your particular wedding and reception venue?
Our main priority was to be as stress-free as possible. We wanted to find a venue that would provide us with almost all the details needed when planning a wedding.
Where did you draw some of your inspiration from for your wedding day?
Magazines and the internet.
Where are you going for the honeymoon and why did you choose that destination?
We have not yet decided where to honeymoon, we just know we want it to be sunny and tropical so we can lounge on a beach or poolside! We plan on taking it May or June of 2019.
