Being a Los Angeles Professional Photographer, I love what my team and I do for a living. After all, I just adore the couples we meet, whether it’s to photograph their engagement session, their wedding, various stages of their family life, or any combination of any of those, each one of them is truly great to work with. And for many, their stories are heartfelt and inspiring. This is true for Elizabeth and Saul, as we loved hearing their story about their relationship and how they met and all the way up to the day at the altar at their beautiful Hotel Maya Long Beach Wedding.
The Hotel Maya overlooks the beautiful city skyline, as well as the Queen Mary, and offers you a tropical paradise wedding setting. They have about 400 decorated palm trees sitting on their manicured grounds. This location is simply stunning!
Being simple people, Elizabeth and Saul wanted an intimate wedding, where they would be able to focus on each other and their marriage blessed by God and those who mean the most to them in a setting that is comfortable, relaxing, and gorgeous. One of the more unique aspects they will be incorporating into their ceremony is that they will be praying over the family’s Bible that was given to grandma from grandpa on their 31st wedding anniversary. So that makes it extra special.

Elizabeth and Saul’s Love Story
What three things do you admire most about your soon-to-be spouse and why?
Saul (about Elizabeth): Self-Motivated, Passionate, and Caring; She is a maximizer and with that goes the extra mile for others as well as for what she wants.
Elizabeth (about Saul): Sense of Humor, Hardworking, and Dedication. Though he can be serious at times, his heart is full of love and laughter, he can make light of any situation and brings a love that very few can offer.
Describe each other in one word and why did you choose that word?
Saul (about Elizabeth): One of a Kind. Her overall being is beautiful inside and out.
Elizabeth (about Saul): Heartfelt. He stands true to what he says and means.
Any advice for other newly engaged couples as they begin to plan their wedding?
Remember the real reason why you want to start this new chapter in your lives together.
Describe your wedding for us. Is there any particular theme? What flowers did you choose and why? And are there any special traditions or items you have incorporated into the day?

Looking back on planning your wedding, is there anything you would have done differently?
No, everything has been a learning experience for Saul and me. The one thing that I did take out of this, is the fact that though I am an event planner, I am first a human being…then a partner to Saul… then a Bride!
What are the plans for the honeymoon?
We’ve decided to keep it simple and take a quick getaway around California to save money for a house.
