Is there anything better than being one with nature? What if you can incorporate the beauty of nature and your wedding ceremony together? Well, you can, and nature weddings can make for some really great wedding photos. Three16 Photography specializes in photographing wedding photos at nature parks in Orange County, Los Angeles and throughout Southern California.
In addition, being a wedding photographer in Orange County means we are centrally located to all the great wedding locations throughout Southern California, including many of the nature sites. Each nature site offers something a little different from one another that can make your wedding ceremony really unique, not to mention your wedding photographs.
If you are looking at naturesque wedding venues, take into consideration all the potential spots for your photography and whether or not they will make for good backdrops to your photos. Also, take into consideration the time of the day of your wedding and if the sunset will affect your wedding and photos positively or negatively.
Orange County has some really nice nature wedding venues to consider, such as the Fullerton Arboretum, the Red Horse Barn, The Vintage Rose and one of our very favorite nature locations, the Oak Canyon Nature Center.
Los Angeles has a few as well. So, if you’re considering outside of Orange County, then check out Hold Out Ranch, the Los Angeles Arboretum and Heritage Park. If you want to go out a little further into the hills of San Bernardino, you have to check out Riley’s Farms and Serendipity Gardens.
Advantages of a Nature Wedding Venue
• The Beautiful Greenery, Flowers and Trees
• Amazing Sunsets
• A Variety of Natural Features (water streams, hiking trails, horses, etc)
• Man-Made Added Features (fencing, bridges, etc)
Disadvantages of a Nature Wedding Venue
• The Weather Could be an Issue
• If it Rains Prior to Your Event, the Trails Could Be Muddy
• Depending on the Season, You May Not Get the Colors You Want from the Trees and/or Foliage
• Some Locations May Have Limited Parking or It May be a Long Walk
Many of the nature areas are designed to include reception areas. In some cases, they’re small buildings and other cases, they are large tents. Be sure to confirm that with your wedding coordinator, because there are some that only allow for the ceremony itself, which would cause you to schedule the reception at another location.
